You've seen me blog about
BLOOD KISS, the upcoming film starring Amber Benson and Neil Gaiman, in previous posts. They have just recently announced earlier this week some shiny new news to share with everyone. BLOOD KISS has officially launched their brand new website,
www.bloodkissmovie.com.
The new web site features all the latest production and press news as well as a video gallery. You can also view the concept artwork for the film by artist Tom Mandrake. In addition to the artwork, Tom is also working on the graphic novel for BLOOD KISS.

In
May of 2013 BLOOD KISS, with the help of over 1,400 backers, was able to raise over $88,000 through their
kickstarter campaign. If you didn't get a chance to contribute during
the kickstarter you can still make a donation toward the production of
the film on the new site. Merchandise items such as T-Shirts, the
graphic novel and pre-orders of the DVD will soon be available for
purchase as well.
To bring you up to speed, BLOOD KISS is a Vampire Noir film set in
1940's Hollywood. Written by Emmy Award winning writer
Michael Reaves. Michael has pinned such titles as
Batman The Animated Series, Star Trek The
Next Generation and
The Twilight Zone and that's just to name a few.
*********************************
BLOOD KISS will star the multi-talented
Amber Benson. Amber is no stranger to the vampire genre
having played Tara Maclay on three seasons of the hit TV series,
Buffy
The Vampire Slayer. Amber has also appeared as a vampire on
Supernatural and is also currently slated to play another vampire,
Amelie, on the upcoming Rachael Caine web series
Morganville.
Amber will be
playing the jazz singer Ruby Day. Fans will be pleased to know that Amber will get a chance, once again, to showcase her singing abilities.
Starring alongside Amber will be writer
Neil Gaiman. Neil has written such pieces as the comic book series,
The Sandman, and novels which include
Stardust,
American Gods and
Coraline.
Neil will be making his acting debut in BLOOD KISS, playing Hollywood director, Julian Cross.
“Michael sent me the script. I told him, “It’s a terrific script,”
and he said, “I want you to act in it.” I replied, “There’s nobody else I
would act for.” – Neil Gaiman
